Reducir el impacto negativo sobre el clima
Businesses always have a negative impact on our planet. Offices, commuting, and energy consumption generate CO2 emissions. We are very interested in minimizing our impact on the climate.
Minimize the impact
In March 2020, we hired a Captain Planet , a position that leads this mission. In 2020, we focused primarily on understanding our carbon footprint. This allowed us to think about ways to reduce our carbon emissions. In 2021, we focused on understanding and having conversations about reducing CO2. 2022 is the year we will fully offset our emissions. We will become carbon neutral.
More than CO2
We’ve invested heavily in projects that have a positive impact on CO2 emissions, but we also like to look beyond CO2. This includes projects that focus on other UN climate goals, as they are all interrelated.
Proyectos
We support projects such as the purchase of green energy through Guarantee of Origin certificates. We plant trees in the Netherlands, Costa Rica, and Bolivia. We promote biodiversity in Burkina Faso and plant a food forest in the Netherlands and Madagascar. We improve cooking facilities in Guinea and facilitate access to drinking water in Laos and Rwanda.
We’re also actively working on raising awareness about sustainability internally, for example by holding climate talks and ensuring we purchase socially sustainable products whenever possible.

- Corporate transport: car fleet, public transport and flights
- Transfers
- Servers and cloud, our digital footprint

Our key initiatives to reduce CO2:
- Integrating sustainability into our strategy
- An ecological and social purchasing policy
- Share knowledge internally and organize workshops to raise awareness about climate, sustainability, and procurement
- Facilitate working from home, both culturally and economically
- Promote the use of bicycles and public transport
- Make our vehicle fleet more sustainable (of our 11 cars, 9 are fully electric, 1 is a hybrid, and 1 runs on gasoline. By 2025, we will be completely fossil fuel-free)
- Recharge with green energy

- Fly only when absolutely necessary
- Offset our energy consumption with sustainably generated local energy.
- Write blogs that inspire other organizations to also start downsizing and offsetting.
